Colon Hydrotherapy

Colon hydrotherapy is a gentle and effective treatment to irrigate and cleanse the colon.  Colon health is fundamental to overall well-being. When the colon does not work properly, waste backs up and solidifies in the intestines. Toxins get reabsorbed into the bloodstream and wreak havoc system-wide. Colonics are an efficient means to cleanse the colon, encourage detoxification of the body, and establish correct muscle tone.  Please watch the 11-minute video below to learn more.

This includes a consultation, colonic, and recommendations.  During the consultation, the colon hydrotherapist who will go over the process as well as any health concerns or goals you may have. Next, you will get a colonic.  The duration may vary as each person’s experience is unique and afterward you will have time to use the restroom and continue to release what the session loosened up. Lastly, the colon hydrotherapist will make individualized lifestyle and supplement recommendations.

Do I need "down time" after the colonic?

You should be able to resume your normal day after the colonic.  In fact, we have many people who come on their lunch break and go right back to work afterward.

What are the benefits of getting a colonic?

They say “all disease begins in the gut”. Healing the gut can be an effective way to prevent and sometimes even reverse unwanted symptoms and/or disease. Additionally, an overaccumulation of waste can lead to a buildup of toxins in the body. Ridding the body of this waste can stimulate detoxification, an essential mechanism for optimizing your health. Some common health concerns that colonics can help with include constipation relief, unwanted weight gain/loss, mental and emotional health, bacterial or yeast overgrowth, and overall detoxification.

Does it hurt?

Prior to the session, our colon hydrotherapist will go over the process to ensure that you’re fully aware of what the process entails and that you’re comfortable with it. You are in good hands with our very experienced therapist! There is very minimal discomfort during the insertion. During the colonic, especially if it’s your first time, you may experience discomfort initially. Most often this is from the release of gas pressure built up in your colon over time. Once this subsides or is released, the process should be comfortable.

What is the setup?

The colonic setup is a closed system and there is no mess involved. There is one section of the tubing that is luminated for the colon hydrotherapist to walk you through what she’s seeing, but it is optional to look. The water used in the colonic procedure is purified and kept at a comfortable temperature.

What happens right after the Colonic?

This treatment mixes a small amount of lavender tea with a high-quality probiotic powder, which is inserted directly into the rectum to reach the colon. Unlike an enema where a larger amount of liquid is which is retained and then evacuated, the implant uses a very small amount of liquid which is quickly absorbed, leaving behind the probiotics in the colon. The lavender provides therapeutic relaxation effects, while the probiotics introduce 100 billion species of good bacteria into the gut to strengthen and restore healthy gut flora.
