Colon Hydrotherapy

Colon hydrotherapy is a gentle and effective treatment to irrigate and cleanse the colon.  Colon health is fundamental to overall well-being. When the colon does not work properly, waste backs up and solidifies in the intestines. Toxins get reabsorbed into the bloodstream and wreak havoc system-wide. Colonics are an efficient means to cleanse the colon, encourage detoxification of the body, and establish correct muscle tone.  Please watch the 11-minute video below to learn more.

The lavender tea helps to soothe and relax the colon, while the probiotics help repopulate healthy flora. Unlike an enema, the implant is a small amount of liquid that is easily and comfortably absorbed into the colon.

This is beneficial for people who have had any of the following: antibiotics, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, immune issues.

Coffee Enema

Add-on service to colon hydrotherapy.

Coffee enemas are highly beneficial for liver detoxification.  The coffee is absorbed into the portal vein, which goes straight to the liver. It increases your body’s production of glutathione, an important enzyme that helps neutralize toxins. Additionally, coffee enemas cause the bile ducts to open up so that the liver and gall bladder can purge toxins.”

This gentle yet powerful therapy can help reduce inflammation; increase energy, mental clarity, focus and mood, and improve digestive ailments such as parasites, candida and hemorrhoids. Thrive uses a specific type of U.S. Department of Agriculture-certified organic coffee that is intended for enemas, ensuring the quality and efficacy of the treatment.

Herbal Enema

At Thrive Holistic Medicine, we use a blend of USDA Certified organic tea in our herbal enemas which includes:

  •   White Oak Bark

  •   Plantain Leaf

  •   Black Walnut Hull

  •   Chaparral Herb

  •   Burdock Root

  •   Marshmallow Root

  •   Comfrey Root

  •   Comfrey Leaf

These herbs provide many healing properties including anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant, and anti-septic.  Before the colonic session, the herbs are steeped like a tea. Once it cools to body temperature it is inserted into the rectum and gets absorbed into the colon.  Herbal enemas can be helpful to reduce chronic inflammation, tonify the colon, and increase the wave-like movement of the colon called peristalsis.

What happens right after the Colonic?

This treatment mixes a small amount of lavender tea with a high-quality probiotic powder, which is inserted directly into the rectum to reach the colon. Unlike an enema where a larger amount of liquid is which is retained and then evacuated, the implant uses a very small amount of liquid which is quickly absorbed, leaving behind the probiotics in the colon. The lavender provides therapeutic relaxation effects, while the probiotics introduce 100 billion species of good bacteria into the gut to strengthen and restore healthy gut flora.
